Abstract

Consumers feel the increase in the Kalimantan Tengah Consumer Tendency Index (ITK) in the third quarter of 2019 by 103.99. This shows that in general consumers still feel an improvement in economic conditions in quarter III-2019, although with lower optimism compared to the previous quarter (ITK quarter II-2019 amounted to 117.99).

The improvement in consumer economic conditions in the third quarter of 2019 was mainly driven by the non-influence of inflation on the level of household consumption (index value of 109.66), and increasing consumption volume (index value of 107.11).

Kalimantan Tengah's ITK in the fourth quarter of 2019 is estimated at 101.31, which shows the economic condition of consumers is estimated to continue to improve, although with optimism that is approaching stagnant or lower than the quarter III-2019.
