Abstract

The total value of exports rose 8.80 percent from US $ 187.63 million (February 2020) to US $ 204.14 million (March 2020).
Mineral fuels are the mainstay of export commodities valued at US $ 129.92 million, or contribute 63.64 percent to total exports.
Japan is the most important export destination country of US $ 72.90 million, or contributes 35.71 percent of total exports.
The contribution of export transportation services through loading ports is US $ 57.16 million, lower than the contribution of ports in other provinces which are US $ 146.98 million.
Cumulatively, the total value of exports fell 21.92 percent from US $ 687.40 million (January-March 2019) to US $ 536.75 million (January-March 2020).
The total value of imports fell 15.28 percent from US $ 2.29 million (February 2020) to only US $ 1.94 million (March 2020). Cumulatively, imports also fell by 67.30 percent from US $ 23.55 million (January-March 2019) to only US $ 7.70 million (January-March 2020).
The foreign trade balance has a surplus of US $ 202.20 million (March 2020) and US $ 529.05 million (January-March 2020).
