Abstract

Of the 90 cities that the national CPI monitored, 58 cities experienced inflation and 32 cities experienced deflation during March 2021. The highest inflation occurred in Jayapura (1.07 percent) and the highest deflation was in Bau-Bau (0.99 percent). Palangka Raya is in the 31st position for inflation cities at the national level, while Sampit is in the 55th place.

Inflation in Palangka Raya (0.18 percent) was influenced by an increase in the price index in the food, beverage and tobacco group (0.75 percent), the food and beverage / restaurant provider group (0.13 percent), as well as the recreation, sports, and sports groups. and culture (0.08 percent).

Inflation in Sampit (0.04 percent) was influenced by the increase in the price index in the food, beverage and tobacco group (0.85 percent), the food and beverage / restaurant provider group (0.39 percent), and the housing, water, electricity group. and household fuels (0.11 percent).

Based on the two reference cities (Palangka Raya and Sampit), Central Kalimantan experienced inflation (0.12 percent), calendar year inflation rate (0.42 percent), and year-on-year inflation rate (1.01 percent).
