Abstract

The total workforce in August 2024 was 1,460.91 thousand people, an increase 53.27 thousand people compared to August 2023.
Labor Force Participation Rate was 68.71 percent, an increase of 1.53 percentage points compared to August 2023.
The Open Unemployment Rate was 4.01 percent, experiencing a decline by 0.09 percentage points from the situation in August 2023.
The working population in August 2024 was 1,402.28 thousand people, an increase 52.40 thousand people compared to August 2023.
The main employment area with the largest increase in the number of workers is the sector Processing Industry which reached 10.92 thousand people, while the decline The largest occurred in the Transportation, Information & Communication category, namely as many as 8.03 thousand people compared to August 2023.
A total of 710.49 thousand people (50.67 percent) of the population work in activities formal, an increase of 2.53 percentage points compared to August 2023.
The percentage of underemployed workers fell 0.22 percentage points to 5.89 percent, while the percentage of part-time workers decreased by 1.48 percentage points to 21.98 percent compared to August 2023.
