Abstract
The need for data and information is crucial to support the planning, implementation, and evaluation processes of development to ensure their successful execution. Data on socio-economic conditions are essential to provide an overview of development achievements and can be utilized by policymakers to evaluate development programs. Data related to the basic needs of the community, such as clothing, food, shelter, education, health, security, and employment opportunities, are necessary to assess the extent to which development outcomes reach all layers of society.
The National Socio-Economic Survey (Survei Sosial Ekonomi Nasional or Susenas) is designed to generate socio-economic data on the population in the sectors of population, education, health, housing, information and communication technology, social protection, social insurance, as well as public perceptions of household welfare in a particular region.
The publication of Welfare Statistics for Seruyan Regency in 2024 is the result of data collection through the 2024 Susenas Household and Consumption Questionnaire conducted across the entire Central Kalimantan region. This publication is presented in the form of percentage figures of a population categorized according to household characteristics.
With the release of this book, it is hoped that the needs for some statistical data on the welfare of the people can be met. Thanks are extended to all parties who participated in making this publication a reality. Constructive suggestions and input are highly anticipated for the improvement of the presentation of BPS (Statistics Indonesia) publications in the future.
